We Moved!

Updated: Sep 3

Did Someone Say "Empty Nester?"

I’ve been waiting to share this news until it was official. And today it is!

Short version. We sold our house.

Long version. We bought our house in 2002. We were the very first people to move into this new neighborhood. We made a lot of memories at that house. Keelan was just 9 years old and Jackson wasn’t even born.

But…we’ll be empty nesters in a year…so we planned to sell after Jackson graduates in 2022.

I met Devin Daussat a couple years ago when she was teaching my son dance and choreographing amazing shows. We had coffee one day and formed an instant connection.

I loved her drive. Her tenacity. Her kindness.

When I saw that she recently got into real estate, I knew immediately I wanted to work with her when the time was right.

We told her our plans to sell in 2022, and I knew by the look on her face, that she was going to suggest we sell NOW!

We trusted her and we took a huge leap of faith. Then we got to work. We worked our tails off for weeks getting the house ready and she was with us every single step of the way.

She helped transform our house into the home I always knew I treasured.

When we went to San Antonio to celebrate our anniversary last month, we were also putting our house in her hands that weekend.

And boy did she deliver! Rumor has it, our Open House was a bit crazy, with cars down the street and people lined up at our house 15 minutes early.

We were able to choose our buyer…and we are so thrilled with the outcome.

Thank you Devin! We could never imagined this would turn out the way it did. Yes, it’s a hot market, but the work you did helped us close a sale that would not have been possible without you!

So what’s next? We’re trusting the path one step at a time.

She helped us find a brand new townhome to rent for a year while we focus on our last year of high school and wait to buy when we have a clearer path of his future and ours. We found a place that’s a bit closer to school, close to Jackson’s work and the best part, his room is bigger.

So goodbye to my treasured backyard. Wouldn’t you know that it was the biggest selling point for our buyer.

Hello to new things! Being patient for so many years has been so worth it.

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. ‭‭~Psalm‬ ‭37:23‬ ‭

God has been so good to us. We can only imagine what He has in store. Walking in trust and faith that our next steps beyond this are already planted.
